Since that time, she has been involved in volunteer ministry as a Children’s director, youth pastor, Sunday School teacher, Women’s Ministry Director, and Pastor of Discipleship and Assimilation.  She finds fulfillment and joy in life when serving others out of the gifts the Father has entrusted her with. She has been married to her highschool sweetheart, Jason, for 22 years.  They have three children--Carrington, Anna Claire, and Colson. Jennifer is also a middle school teacher and the owner of an online business, Mudpies and Fireflies.  She enjoys trips to Disney World and the beach, reading, lazy movie days with her kiddos and husband, heart to heart conversations over long meals, and a great cup of coffee.

Carrington Ray

Carrington is a willing spirit and serves however is needed. Her youthful mind and heart bring fresh eyes to our planning process. She has a heart for Journeys and Restore and has been greatly impacted by both! She's excited to meet each of you and has willingly shared a little of her story here as a glimpse into who she is.

"Growing up in church and in a Christian family, I knew at a very young age that I wanted to live for Jesus and be with Him one day. Life was moving along pretty smoothly until I unexpectedly lost my Papa. Let's just say that ROCKED my world. Since then, grief comes in waves, and it still isn't easy, but I've learned to trust God's plan even when it doesn't make sense to me. It wasn't until my junior year of high school that I started sensing God's call to ministry on my life. Restore 2019 confirmed this calling for me. I'm still not completely sure what this will look like, but I'm saying, 'Yes!' and trusting Him. I pray that God gives you vision and clarity and helps you see what He is wanting to do through you for His glory. I will attend Trevecca University in the fall and major in Worship Arts."

Caitlyn Shipp

journeys_2020_stacyprestonphotography-61

Caitlyn is a vital part of this ministry as our marketing and advertising guru. She is incredibly talented and creative and has an eye for detail and design. Her prayer is that no obstacle that the enemy will throw your way will stand in the way of you sharing God’s love with the people around you. If you know Caitlyn, then you know what we mean when we say, her energy and spunk is contagious!

Caitlyn was born and raised in Tullahoma and graduated with a degree in Audiology and Speech Pathology from the University of Tennessee in May 2017. While in Knoxville, she volunteered much of her time to Tennessee School for the Deaf and quickly fell in love with American Sign Language. Caitlyn married the love of her life, Michael, this past September, and God has been continuously working in their lives individually as well as a couple. They attend Estill Springs Nazarene Church.

They have a rescue named Major that looks just like a lab puppy, and has all the energy to match. They also have a Doberman Pinscher named Damon that weighs more than Caitlyn, but he's really just a big teddy bear. Michael and Caitlyn enjoy working out together and spending time outside with their pups. Caitlyn is a speech and language teacher in the school system and finds her purpose by throwing positivity at every student that walks through her door.

Rachel Neal

Rachel Neal is an incredible asset to Journeys. She is a busy mom and wife who pours herself into her family and friends. She brings organization and determination to our group. She helped us launch year one of this ministry, and while she has taken a little sabbatical of sorts for year two, she is still invested and committed and is always available when needed. We’re so thankful for her smiling face and encouraging spirit.

Rachel knows personally that Christ can transform your life; she’s no stranger to brokenness. The one constant in her life has always been the love of Christ. It is this love which has sustained, directed, and defined her.
She has a passion for serving others which explains why she considers her work with Trevecca University more than a job; it’s a ministry. Her love for serving Trevecca’s students in this Kingdom work is evident.
